You brush the dog. The fur leaves the dog. It does not, however, leave.
It hangs in the air, settles on the couch, and turns up on your work trousers three days later. The brushing worked. The fur just went somewhere you did not choose.
One press releases a fine mist through the bristles. Damp fur stops carrying static — so instead of lifting into the air, the loose hair clings to the silicone teeth and comes away in the brush.
You peel it off in one piece and drop it in the bin. That is the entire trick, and it is why this is a brush with a water tank rather than a brush with a motor.
Three things, one hand
Three colours
It will not get through a matted coat.
Mats have to be cut or teased out first. Silicone teeth glide over the top of a mat rather than into it, and forcing it will hurt. If your dog is properly matted, that is a groomer job before this is any use.
It will not replace a bath.
The tank holds enough for a mist, not a wash. It damps the coat surface so the fur behaves — it does not clean skin or shift dirt that has worked its way down.
It will not stop shedding.
Nothing does. Shedding is seasonal and hormonal. What changes is where the loose hair ends up: in the brush instead of on the couch.
It will not convert a cat that hates being handled.
Most cats take to it because the mist goes through the bristles at the coat rather than into the air. But a cat that already objects to brushing will object to this. Start on the back, keep it short, and stop if it is not going well.

Questions
Is the mist hot?
No. It sprays a cool, fine mist — there is no heating element and nothing that could burn your pet. The water is there to weigh the fur down, not to warm it.
Will my cat tolerate it?
Cats that hate being sprayed in the face are usually fine with this, because the mist comes out through the bristles at the coat rather than into the air. Start on the back, not the head.
Does it cut or pull the coat?
No blades. The teeth are rounded silicone and lift hair that has already shed — it will not thin a healthy coat.
What do I put in it?
Plain water is enough for most coats. You can also use a pet‑safe detangling or conditioning spray through the same inlet. Nothing oily — it will clog the nozzle.
How do I clean it?
The head pops off and rinses under the tap. Empty the tank if you are not using it for a while, so nothing sits in it.
